Santa Barbara Talks 109: SB Plan's Caroline Harrah

Caroline Harrah launched SB PLAN two years ago to start the conversation about returning students to school during the COVID-19 pandemic. She's still going strong, as a force for change in the Santa Barbara Unified School District. Harrah's Facebook group has more than 1,000 members. It's where community members go to discuss issues related to equity, literacy and leadership at the Santa Barbara Unified School District. Harrah's group is one of Santa Barbara's most influential civic and community education organization. In this podcast, Harrah talks about the controversial issue of combining honors with college prep, iPads for students K-3, equity and turnover in the District Administration. She also offers a strong defense of teachers and advocates for them to receive better resources and support in the classroom.
