Sara Mornell- Acting Coach Talks The Mornell Method & Teaching Her Actors To Be Fearless While Owning The Audtion Room

from The Actors Lounge · host Melanie Victor

Sara Mornell  has shared her 23+ years of extensive knowledge  coaching actors, athletes, and entertainers to live in their truths and  train like Olympians to meet the demands of Hollywood. Recognizing that  the current training and methodology based in theater techniques is  failing actors.  After years of coaching actors with an  unprecedented booking rate, combined with coaching athletes on their  game - The Mornell Method was born.  A new and more effective approach  for actors who want to work in Film and TV. Cultivating an athletic  frame of mind while supporting the creative spirit. Sara’s method  teaches actors how to be fearless versions of themselves instead of  teaching how to be a character. - Most recently Sara starred opposite  Jeremy Sisto in the ABC crime drama Wicked City and guest starred as  Renee on the hit Freeform comedy Alone Together.  Sara has also appeared  opposite Elizabeth Banks and Chris Pine in the film People Like Us,  with Kevin Bacon in The Darkness, and as Jean, the tough-loving  expedition guide in the horror thriller Quarries. Other film credits  include: Python, Paranormal Activity 4, Starting From Scratch, Knife  Fight and Plan B.  In addition to working in front of the camera, Sara has also written, directed and produced three seasons of comedy series #TheAssignment through her production company, Mornell Studios. In  2017, Mornell Studios  relocated from Los Angeles to Atlanta where she  currently resides. Sara came to Atlanta to bring her method to the  working class actor, and raise the bar for training in the southeast  market. The goal being to put Atlanta on the map for trained reliable  talent for roles beyond that of the co-star.
