Following the deadly shooting at the Headingham Neighborhood, members of a North Carolina House Committee approved to move a bill ahead that would support family members of fallen first responders. The Gabe Torres Act honors the life of the Raleigh Police Officer who was one of five people killed in the mass shooting in October of 2022 in the Headingham Neighborhood.
