Sasanian Empire

In this episode, we explore the Sasanian Empire, also known as Ērānšahr, the last great pre-Islamic Iranian dynasty and one of the most powerful states of late antiquity. Founded by Ardashir I in 224 AD after the fall of the Parthians, the empire restored Iran as a major imperial force through centralized rule, Zoroastrian religious authority, and ambitious military expansion across the Middle East and Central Asia.
