He tells us about growing up on a commune, and how some friends took him surfing in the exposed, rugged, windy and dumping beach breaks of Western Sonoma County. Sashwa talks about being into other sports  early on, like skateboarding, but there was nothing like getting into the ocean surfing, and how it changed his life in a big way.
