TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. At this vigil, we await and subsequently experience the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The resurrection of Jesus Christ affirms that God is ever faithful and able to keep his promises. Thus, we're invited to place all our hope in God, trusting in the fulfilment of His promises and persisting in righteousness. Through the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, death, sin, darkness, falsehood, injustice, oppression, afflictions, misfortunes and the reign of the devil and his agents are conquered and Jesus Christ, light, the kingdom of God and its values triumph gloriously. Let's go all out, therefore, rejoicing in the glory of the resurrection and in righteousness.
