TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. In a society and generation predominantly characterised by evil, injustice, moral decadence, wickedness and other forms of vices there is a general longing for the manifestation of the glory, power and authority of God to end the afflictions occasioned by the activities of the ungodly. The transfiguration of Jesus Christ reassures us of the certitude of the victory of the power of God, light and and virtue over the power of Satan, darkness and vices respectively when the latter are seemingly winning the day.
