TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. After wondering away from God in sin and resisting God in our despair and afflictions for His seemingly not coming through for us, today, the readings invite us to come returning to the Lord our God. Experiences, in addition to the scriptures, must have shown us beyond all reasonable doubt that life outside of God or away from God is emptiness, pain, and shame.
