Sat. Sept. 16th, 2023 Homily by fadapeterbenson: CHRIST JESUS CAME INTO THE WORLD TO SAVE SINNERS.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF. Indeed, God does not take pleasure in the death of the sinner. Rather, He wants him/her to repent and have eternal life (cf. Ezek. 33:11). This explains why God sent his only begotten Son into the world not to condemn the world but to save the world through Him (cf. Jn. 3:17). This is what informed Paul's assertion in the first reading of today; that "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners" (cf. 1 Tim. 1:15). Once saved, you must bear the fruits no longer of sin but of righteousness.
