Saturn

After 'borrowing' the United Earth a long range federal research vessel. Chief engineer Jolene Archer strikes out alone honing in on the source of a scrambled distress call. Approaching Saturns rings, signal strength becoming ever stronger, less scrambled, a darkly perplexing familiarity flooded her senses. As she attempts to turn back, a power way in excess of Saturn's gravity takes hold of the ship, systems glitching and shutting down, engines, thrusters, dead. “Keep it together! You know this ship from grommet to gravity generator, just focus!” Scrambling to reboot and recalibrate, her heart sinks. Accompanied by a high pitched whine, the very words of that distress call nervously stutter from her mouth as her vision vignettes to black. 19 hours pass, a mining freighter approaching earth picks up the rescue beacon from an EVA suit in low earth orbit. The still unconscious Jolene was taken aboard and put in stasis until back on terra firma. It is unknown how she got into the EVA suit or returned to earth orbit. The United Earth has not been found.
