Savannah Music Festival LIVE 1208- Sullivan Fortner

A native of New Orleans, Sulilvan Fortner grew up in the church and began playing piano at the age of seven. He was widely-praised as a virtuoso jazz pianist well before he finished high school, and won the 2015 Cole Porter Fellowship from the American Pianists Association, as well as the 2016 Lincoln Center Award for Emerging Artists. This performance from the 2018 Festival highlights Fortner's musical versatility and knowledge of blues and jazz piano across the ages.
