Savannah Music Festival LIVE 1210- Jerry Douglas
from savannahmusicfestival · host savannahmusicfestival
The prominence of the squareneck dobro in American acoustic music has grown exponentially in the past three decades, in large part due to innovations created by Jerry Douglas. On the same day Douglas's bluegrass band, The Earls of Leicester, played to a packed house in the 2019 Savannah Music Festival, we were lucky to have him play a solo set for an afternoon crowd. Jerry Douglas' ambitions for the mastery of his instrument have never wavered, nor has his enthusiasm for playing, performing, and interacting with audiences and fans.
