Savannah Music Festival LIVE 1501 - Béla Fleck My Bluegrass Heart / Lunasa

This and future episodes of Savannah Music Festival LIVE will attempt to recreate the festival experience through its multi-hued lens, with the idea that we each have something to discover through every new interaction with music. This episode begins with a set of music from banjoist and composer Béla Fleck’s My Bluegrass Heart, an extraordinary project that took home a Grammy Award just days after this Savannah performance in March of 2022. Another 2022 festival performance is featured in the second half, from earlier the same week. This was an afternoon concert given by the Irish supergroup Lúnasa, a band whose complex arrangements and unique sound has helped reshape the boundaries of traditional music, energizing audiences the world over.
