Savannah Music Festival LIVE 1524 - Mr. Sun / Allison de Groot & Tatiana Hargreaves

On this episode we’ll listen to two exceptional acoustic music projects: one fiddle and banjo duo that explores and enlivens the old-time tradition, and the other that turns the stringband ensemble format on its head, incorporating elements of swing, bluegrass, Celtic music and other musical styles in a daring and virtuosic fashion. We begin with the clawhammer banjo and fiddle playing of Allison de Groot and Tatiana Hargreaves, two young musicians whose knowledge and talents are far beyond their years. In the second half, we’ll listen to Mr. Sun, a project including Darol Anger on fiddle, Joe K. Walsh on mandolin and vocals, Grant Gordy on guitar, and Aidan O’Donnell on bass.
