The project took place between September 2019 to February 2020. During the voyage, he collected daily samples of the seawater to measure micro-particles of plastic in the ocean. We’ll talk about land-based pollution and waste dumping impacts and implications on climate, marine species, and the human race. Because he is in Brazil, he will also talk about the state of the Amazon Forest compared to the real lungs of the planet, the phytoplankton in the oceans.
