"Say No to Sin"

August 30, 2024 Daily Devotion: "Say No to Sin" 1 Corinthians 10:13 New International Version 13 No temptation[a] has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted[b] beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. We fight temptation every day in this sin saturated world, but with God’s help we can resist the attack and stay standing. God is fighting for you, and He will give you the courage you need to say no to the enemy and not fall prey to his schemes. The enemy wants you to think sin is irresistible and believe you are too weak to walk away. When the enemy is whispering lies, you need to escape by shutting down his message and arming yourself with the Truth. Get into the Word. Pray for God’s help. Speak the name of Jesus and think about how He endured great suffering and sacrificed His life on the cross to save you from sin. The Resurrected Christ lives in you, and He will empower you to say no to sin.
