Say What You Mean!

from The AJNashville Podcast · host AJNashville

Let's talk about talk. How often do you truly stop and think about what you want to say before you actually start speaking aloud? What if you could communicate what you really mean to say? Wouldn't you like to articulate words in a way that others receive more clearly and appreciate the way you specifically delivered your message to them? How great would it be to connect with people even deeper through a better level of communication? How would it make you feel to be told, "I love you"? Now how would it make you feel to be told what aspects about you make you especially loved? Would you feel better if you were asked genuine questions about your day with thoughtful and interested responses rather than following the same generic script day in and day out?The language we use when we talk to ourselves as well as others reflects on the life we end up living. If we want success and positivity in the things that we do, we cannot focus on the negativity and worst possibilities. We have to propel an interest in learning something new, be that within ourselves, our children, or the random passersby, by asking in ways that excite and evoke authentic responses and fulfilling engagement between each other.Changing the way you communicate will gain you more than you will lose. Challenge yourself to change the things you would normally say and exchange it for more meaningful connection. Replace the absolutes like "goodbye" with "see ya later". Enjoy the little moments in time even more with the people who deserve your honesty by spreading the truth and saying what you truly mean to say to them.
