It’s harder yet to say goodbye to them because it seems too final: we think if we don’t say goodbye, we won’t really lose them. The reality is that we and our dead can get blocked by grief and be unable to work through it and come out the other side. For us, this means that our lives, our work, our soul purpose are dimmed. For the dead it means they might get stuck and held up on the way to their afterlife.
