Saying "No" and "Yes" in the New Year

from Creative Overflow with Jenny Kiehn · host Jennykiehn

In this episode, I talk about the powerful action of saying "no" and how much it liberates you. Even more important is becoming okay with saying "no" and letting go of any responsibility for the feelings of others. They get to feel however they want - they are free. Your job is to take care of yourself and draw the boundary. In addition, you get to flip it and say "yes" to the opposite behavior. One thing I'm saying "no" to this year is self doubt. I've realized from watching lots of videos of successful entrepreneurs that I am the person who can believe in me the most. I have deeper leverage there than with anything else. I could believe in myself 100 times more than any other person does and that is within my control. I've never leaned into that fully before and I'm so excited for what it could change for me.I'm also saying "no" to self criticism and instead I'm leaning into loving on myself. I literally give myself a hug every day and say "I love you Jenny, it's going to be okay". I feel like I need it five times a day. This is also amazing because it's completely within my control. This could change everything!!The amazing leverage you gain from saying "no" and then saying "yes" to it's opposite is life changing. What will you be saying "no" to? Email me at [email protected] to tell me. I really want to know.On Friday January 16th at 12:30 ET, I'll be doing a free coaching class about how to develop an abundant mindset as a creative person. I'll be teaching and creating an inspiring atmosphere, but I'm also going to take the time to help individuals at the end of the call. I think there's so much power that gets shared when we hear each other's stories. You learn more than you ever bargained for. Click here to sign up.Thank you for being here! I'm excited to see you on the 16th!
