SBA offers long-term aid, as Wisconsin recovers from April storms

The severe storms and massive flooding that hit Wisconsin this past spring caused an estimated 27 million dollars in damage, according to joint assessments by Wisconsin Emergency Management and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The Trump regime granted Governor Evers’ request at the end of June and approved a major disaster declaration for Wisconsin, activating federal resources and partners to aid in the state’s recovery. While FEMA is the best known federal agency for handling disaster recovery, other agencies also have a hand in providing aid. For instance, the Small Business Administration (or SBA) is tasked with providing longer-term support by issuing low-interest disaster loans in affected areas.
