Leigh (@lshfoster) and Ellie (@elliebrigida) hang out with TikTok star Grace Rolen (@fullofgracer) to talk about why Disney’s Descendants movies Should’ve Been Gay. We discuss the inherent queerness of magic, villains, and archenemies. We also do a line for line breakdown of Mal and Evie’s love duet, Space Between. Almost every character in these movies, particularly the ones from the Isle, is queer and there are so many possible ships! The Isle full of villain kids is a queer allegory if we’ve ever seen one. We talk about the chemistry between Mal and Uma and how obvious it is that they are exes. We also talk about how in love Mal and Evie are the entire time and how bland Mal’s relationship with her actual boyfriend is in comparison. One thing is for sure, Descendants Should’ve Been Gay.
