But I don't think they care about being in charge all the time, Charlie. I mean, look what's going on now. I mean with what I mean, Save America Act. Why in the world has that not just breezed through? Charlie James: It should have. It should have. Richard: I'm serious. I don't think the Republicans like being in charge. Even No, no, no, no. Not the ones in Washington. They hate it. They hate being in charge. I see it. But those are the ones I'm referring to. They don't like They don't like being in charge. If they did, they would do what the Democrats do when they're in charge. Man, they tear the barn door down to get what they want when they're in charge, and they get it done. Charlie James: You're absolutely right. They do not want to lead. Richard: The Republicans they I mean, they're just satisfied with the job that they have, do their best to keep it, but they don't get nothing done, Charlie. Charlie James: Yep, you're exactly right. I appreciate it, Richard. I mean, you're exactly right. I appreciate it, buddy. It's it's like that person at work, "Hey, would you like a promotion?" "No! No, I don't want a promotion. That means I would have to do more work, and I'm not going to be doing that." Let's go to Peter in Anderson. Peter, welcome. Peter: Hey, Charlie. How are you? I'm not a native speaker, but I was in Anderson, but going home. But anyway, thanks. Listen, congratulations on your award ceremony when it's coming up, so I hope you make it, okay? Thank you. But Charlie, I called for how come we in this country vote on Tuesday versus just about every other country in the world, they vote on Sundays for people at home, they go to church, and they don't have to work. Charlie James: I don't know. That's a good question. I don't know why we we decided that we were going to vote on the second Tuesday. Peter: I know, because everybody works and a lot of people really it's hard for them to get, you know, get out of work, and they get out late. Charlie James: Yeah, that's very You know, Peter, I mean, here we are at 62 years into my life, and I can't even I was like, why didn't I have I've never even thought of that. Peter: Yeah, you know, it's like, wow, how come we're That's like something against us, not for everyone to go vote. Charlie James: Yeah. Interesting, I appreciate it, buddy. Thank you. Jeff: Uh, special election, best of my knowledge, is the 11th? Charlie James: Yes, the 11th. Jeff: And has anyone considered that's the first day of school, and a lot of the schools are used for polling stations? Charlie James: Oh, no. I I didn't First of all, I didn't know is it I mean, that's basically here in the Upstate. That's that's when everybody's going back. Jeff: Yes, sir. Charlie James: Huh, how about that? I didn't know it. Jeff: I didn't know if if anybody discussed that, how they going to do with the first day of school and the schools used for polling. Charlie James: First I've heard of it.
