Strode House, Myers House, the Cemetery, the Hedges, etc.  Timberline Lodge, The Shining: 27500 E Timberline Rd, Government Camp, Oregon (though Steven King’s inspiration is The Stanley hotel in Colorado)  The Fog: Point Reyes Lighthouse located in Inverness, California  Psycho House: Universal Studios backlot tour  The Exorcist Stairs: The M-Street Stairs, corner of Prospect St. NW & 36 th St. NW in Georgetown, Washington DC  Carrie: The famous Gym scene is now the Hermosa Beach Community Center.  Texas Chainsaw gas station: 1073 Tx-304, Bastrop, TX. Now converted into a horror-themed BBQ with cabins in the back. Genius.  Texas Chainsaw: Sawyer House is a restaurant called Grand Central Café in Kingsland, TX.  Rosemary’s Baby: The Dakota Apt’s was filmed to represent THE BRAMFORD building. Also the site where John Lennon was shot.  Friday 13 th : Camp Crystal Lake was filmed at Camp No-Be-Bo-Sco, a boy scout camp in Hardwick, New Jersey.
