Scariff Couple About Their Film On Palestine

A Scariff couple's journey to Palestine in 2022 has become the inspiration for a powerful documentary exploring the concept of Sumud – the steadfast resilience that shapes everyday life for many Palestinians.   The Art of Resistance: The Art of Sumud has already been screened in venues across Ireland and in Chicago, and it will now be shown as part of the Scariff Harbour Festival, followed by a discussion featuring the filmmakers and former Gaza school principal Fatma Abuawwad, who has rebuilt her life in Ireland after being displaced by war.   Alan Morrissey was joined by the film's creators, Bonnie Boyle and PJ McNamara.  Photo (c) Clare FM
