Memory Verse: “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." - Isaiah 53:5 KJV *Bible Text:* Isaiah 9:5 KJV 5. For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire. INSPIRATION: Yesterday, we did the introductory part of this series, and pointed out that our stars are never isolated occurrences, but trophies from our scars. Scars do not remind us of our defeats, they showcase our victory crowns; scars do not come to deface you, but to remind us of our resilience and victories. Scars do not appear to compromise our identity; they point us to our victory during difficult circumstances. Today, we shall look how to better evaluate and appreciate these scars going forward and prevent then from halting and hurting us. Some of our deepest, yet most troubling scars are not visible. How do you get passed the gruesome killing of your loved ones right before your eyes, a rape, an emotional abuse, or a heartbreak? How do you look beyond societal stigmatisation, disdainful discrimination and classification as an outcast? How do you handle shame, delays and rejection? You've got to intentionally mind-plot yourself out of all negative thoughts that entrap and hurt you. Empower your thoughts, give legitimacy and strength to your purpose rather that focusing on your struggles. TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Embrace your scars, and don't let anyone rub it in on you. Refuse to empower your scars to dim your stars. When you feel powerless over your scars, you embolden them to further halt and hurt you. Don't ever give it that satisfaction ever again. PRAYER: O Lord, please empower me with grace, wisdom and clarity to redirect the powers behind my scars into my most advantageous opportunity, in Jesus name.
