On this episode, we discuss the sixty-sixth Best Picture Winner: “SCHINDLER’S LIST.”"Schindler's List" is based on the 1982 non-fiction novel "Schindler's Ark" by Australian novelist Thomas Keneally. The film follows businessman Oskar Schindler who arrives in Krakow, Poland in 1939 ready to make his fortune from World War II, which has just started. After joining the Nazi party primarily for political expediency, he staffs his factory with Jewish workers for similarly pragmatic reasons.
