Schizophrenia

from Voices In Recovery Podcast · host David Lewry

This week's guest shares about living with a diagnosis of Schizophrenia and the stigma that is attached to it. We are taken through adolescence into her young adult years where psychosis became the normal reality. How practicing her addiction/self-medicating turned into destructive use, which potentially changed her brain chemistry etc. We are extremely grateful and honored that she shared all she did. Her courage in the face of stigma and judgment motivates us to be more diligent in our breaking the silence. She talks about the strategies she employs to cope, function, and thrive in her life today. Thank you for sharing yourself with us.To learn more or to find resources for schizophrenia head to: https://schizophrenia.ca
