Schmidt Steps Down, St. Bonaventure Eyes New Coach

St. Bonaventures head coach Mark Schmidt, a program legend with a 338-253 record, is stepping down after 19 years. He led the team to three NCAA Tournament appearances, including a First Four win. Before St. Bonaventure, Schmidt coached at Robert Morris for six seasons. The team, currently 15-15, will miss Schmidts leadership, but the transition is promising with former ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski as general manager, who is expected to bring in NBA or G League candidates for the coaching position.
