SCHMITT SHOW THE PHANTOM ELECTRIC GHOST INTERVIEW 2021 I was born in 1994 in st louis missouri into a mystic christian family. Though my father was an art teacher i never went to school rather my parents felt it better for my development that i be homeschooled. Since i was homeschooled i had only 3 friends around my age and only saw them occasionally so i had lots of time alone in the woods i lived in at the outskirts of st louis. And because I was always alone i spent most of my time outside listening to music and thinking about what it is to be alive. spending so much time as a child hermit the only solace i had was drawing and making music on the computer my parents gave me with my dads daw preloaded on it. Art became my peace and music my freedom from the barrage of silence and emptiness that haunted me. When I was 13 my brother showed me an infected mushroom and from there i became obsessed with electronic music and made it my mission to be able to create the progressive musical visions that I was unable to express with words. Eventually at 23 I left my hometown to move to Spokane thinking I would have a better chance of furthering my music only to find no matter where you go things stay the same if you don't change yourself. When I moved to Washington I experimented with various substances to open my consciousness and to cure the depression that had lasted from childhood till then. At the moment I am taking a break from trying to make music that will be popular and going back to why I do art and music in the first place.
