The Falls Church School Board received presentations on two salary-related projects that have been developed as part of the FCCPS Strategic Plan Focus Area Investing in Our People: Compensation Study, and the Extra Pay for Extra Duty (EPED) Review Segal conducted the Compensation Study and found inconsistencies in FCCPS's salary scales. The recommendations will bring market competitiveness across all of the steps and scales, with no employee having a reduction in pay and scale adjustments improving overall career earning potential. In addition, FCCPS will undertake an EPED Review to ensure market competitiveness, reflect internal equity, and increase transparency in the hiring process and stipend amounts.The board also approved resolutions recognizing Arab American History Month, Neurodiversity Acceptance Month, Autism Awareness & Acceptance Month, and School Library Month. Both will be incorporated into the 2023-24 school year budget, and FCCPS will make significant investments in employee compensation.
