Schooling interrupted in Koffiefontein; Free State due to protests

SAfm — There is still no schooling in Koffiefontein since protests that took place last month. Community members are allegedly still preventing learners from attending schools until their demands are met. They demand the mayor to step down. Some of their demands include: high rate of unemployment, that the mine and municipality hire people from outside, bad water quality, road conditions and demand title deeds. More than 72 people were arrested following violent protests.
