#ScienceMatters (Mindsets Too!) PROMO

An inspired video catches my eye online. It’s rich with the activity and energy of scientific research. A woman narrates. She’s a scientist. I’m impressed. “And so,” she says, “we need to understand the basics and that’s what really gives rise to the ability to rationally engineer; to determine our own destiny.” Determine our own destiny. Wow. And there on the video, not one person of any color other than white in sight. Really? This week on THE JANUS ADAMS SHOW: “ #ScienceMatters . . . Mindsets too!” Guests: Dr. Irma McClaurin, PhD -- Biocultural Anthropologist. Poet. Former President of Shaw University and E. Mgavi Brathwaite -- Bioinformatics Specialist. Bioinformatics Program Director at the NYU Tandom School of Engineering.
