SCN Change Agent Interview Series - Meet Miria Varghese Miria is Founder and Executive Director of ArtPropel, an organization that provides arts based team-building, creativity and wellness workshops for businesses in Virginia, Maryland and DC. From Percussion and Painting to Cooking and Improv, ArtPropel has a program to inspire and transform every team in the organization. A passionate supporter of the arts, Miria founded ArtPropel to give working adults the opportunity to tap into their creative side through fun, hands-on workshops that enables employees to unplug and recharge helping them become effortlessly productive. Since 2005, Miria has held operational and leadership positions at leading Art organizations like Arlington Arts Center, Theater of the First Amendment, Jane Franklin Dance and Acting For Young People. Miria has a Masters in Arts Management from George Mason University, an MBA in Human Resources Management from Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship and a BA in Economics from Sophia College. While working in the arts, she has pursued her interest in painting and cooking, volunteers for GraceART, an outreach program that teaches art history to elementary-aged students and helps raise funds to support Time to Shine, an outreach program that provides tuition-free theater training to students from low income families.
