Rose Bakewell is the founder of English scone company Mrs. Bakewell’s, and the author of the Lottie book series. An award-winning author with a deep love for history and a particular fondness for British history, it seems only fitting that she would launch a business devoted to one of Britain’s most cherished traditions. She founded Mrs. Bakewell’s after discovering Maryland’s shocking shortage of proper English scones. The Lottie book series was inspired by Rose’s daughter Charlotte and her wish to give readers that comfy-cozy feeling of home. She is a devoted mother to three beautiful children and two beloved dogs, Ollie and Lucy, who remain convinced they run the household.
