Scotland: Exploring Trans Rights Issues

from World Wide Wave

Transgender people in Scotland have campaigned for six years to be able to legally change their identity. But the excitement of the laws passing the Scottish parliament were quickly shattered when the English government signalled it would enact a rarely use law to block the change. Trans people are now at the heart of a constitutional fight in the UK. Before the fight gets caught up in politics, we bring to you a personal view on the genuine outcomes that this law can deliver for Scotland’s Trans community. We are joined by Florence Oulds, the Trans Policy & Public Affairs Officer from Equality Network Scotland. The post Scotland: Exploring Trans Rights Issues appeared first on World Wide Wave.
