Today I am speaking with Scott Meyer of DigitalHomesteading.com. In this conversation Scott and I discuss how he had a lightbulb moment when his mother used the yellow pages and it was time to get out and see what was going on. "When people understand how to use technology, then incredible things can happen" We discuss how often learning about the technology can be boring.  It is about how you use it, apply it and understanding how it may help you to do what you are trying to achieve, that it becomes exciting.Having spent time travelling to find a purpose and causes to get involved in, Scott realised that there was plenty to do in his own back yard, in the area in which he lived.  So he came home to help build a community.  To support others. "You don't have to be the one creating the magic, you can build the stage and let others shine"  "When we solve local problems, we realise that those problems are shared by others". During our talk we discussed the Scott Adams principle and how he created the amazing successful Dilbert cartoon by establishing what 3 things he was above average at.  And of course what conversation would be complete without some talk about Whale poop.
