The story of Jimmie Edmondson, Sr. This week, Scott's speaking with his son Jimmie, Jr., about how his dad woke up from a coma with an unusual ability to write, speak and listen in reverse. Born in 1910 in Atlanta's Fourth Ward, he became known as "Professor Backwards," appearing on most of the major variety shows of the time (23 appearances on the Ed Sullivan Show) with an act that was hilarious and bordered on genius. His life has a grim final chapter in 1976 when he was kidnapped from his College Park home and murdered.
