Scottish producer, author and Industrial music legend Chris Connelly has an extensive musical career and collaboration that spans four decades which started with his first band, FiniTribe to other industrial groups such as the Revolting Cocks, Ministry, Pigface, Damage Manual, PTP to newer collectives such as The Joy Thieves and Cocksure just to name a few. As an author, he released four books, encompassing the realms of poetry, autobiography and fictional narrative. His latest production and collaboration is with Monica Queen, lead vocalist of the 90s band- Thrum. The new collaboration album, written by Connelly is called The Birthday Poems, released on Jnana Records last month, a fictionalized account of the romance between Scottish personalities and poet George Mackay Brown and his muse Stella Cartwright and their friend, Stanley Roger Green. All three were prominent figures in Scottish literature and culture since the 1950s who frequented the historical Rose Street Bars of Edinburgh. The Birthday Poems was produced by Chris Bruce who has worked with artists such as Seal, Aaron Neville, Bob Dylan, The Waterboys, Cheryl Crow and many others.
