On the heels of an all new release titled Live from The Car Hole Volume 3 and generously giving us the history on Shoegum Records, we got the special opportunity to sit and speak with Scotty Imp! Giving independent artists an outlet dating all the way back to 1991, Scotty Imp has been a paramount piece of the DIY scene thanks to Shoegum Records. As a drummer and multi-talented musician himself, this was certainly atypical to our normal style of interview, but Scotty brought a much needed breath of fresh air to our conversation. We covered many topics ranging from the ins and outs of running a record company, how exactly things got started, and even a peek into what 2023 may have to offer.
