Seemingly Americans have forgotten that the role of the SCOTUS is to decipher whether or not "things" are constitutional. They have one ruling document, and that is the constitution.  Surprisingly in this highly emotional time, the supreme court's recent rulings reveal that the Constitution will win over emotion so long as the current justices remain on the bench. The NY gun law strike down was a massive win for the second amendment. The overturn of Roe v. Wade is a huge win for state's rights and local governance. Putting federal agencies with sweeping power back in their place, requiring congressional oversight, is a huge win for democracy.
