In this sermon, I draw a straight line from the Bible’s warnings about Baal worship to what I contend are the moral and spiritual crises of our time. Beginning with passages such as 1 Corinthians 9, Isaiah 5:20, and 1 Kings 18, I argue that when a people forsake God, they invite bondage, corruption, and deception—echoing the cyclical pattern seen in Judges and the prophets. I survey scriptural and archaeological references to Baalism and claim that many modern practices and cultural trends mirror those ancient errors, calling listeners to repentance, prayer, and courageous allegiance to Jesus Christ. I also challenge the Church to recognize spiritual enemies, discern false teaching, and recover a clear sense of identity rooted in Scripture.
