Today he serves as leader of the Social Democratic Party, having taken the role in 2018 before being re-elected by members in 2020 with overwhelming support. Alongside politics, Clouston is also a writer and commentator. His articles have appeared in publications including The Spectator, spiked, and UnHerd, and he regularly contributes to political discussions in broadcast media.
