Petit constat : 140,000 réunionnais mal logés, parmi lesquels 2 694 personnes sans domicile fixe, 3 466 qui vivent dans des abris de fortune, et 54 474 hébergées chez des tiers (souvent à droite à gauche dans la famille) Même les personnes âgées sont touchées : 14 000 Réunionnais de plus de 60 ans vivent encore dans des cases en tôle ou des logements très précaires, dont 2 000 sans le confort de base (pas d eau chaude, parfois pas de douche ni toilettes) Pour les logements sociaux c est pas mieux : la liste d attente ne cesse de s allonger, avec près de 50 000 demandes actives en cours, C est 50 % de plus qu il y a cinq ans !
