Mansfield Matters Podcast | SE01EP04 ‘Whatever will bee’The latest episode of our weekly Podcast is now online ahead of match-day as the Stags face a poignant test against Luton Town.Last Saturday the club and its supporters were saddened to hear of the loss of former Manager Duncan Russell, who aged 59, sadly lost his battle with cancer. ‘Russ’ as he was affectionately known steered the club through its darkest ever water and gave supporters memories to savour – the panicle of which being against Luton Town in the FA Trophy semi-final in 2011.This week’s podcast starts and ends with a tribute to Russ who will rightfully be remembered by way of applause prior to kick-off on Saturday. It’s all change on the panel this week as with Nathan Edge still on international duty and Cam Felton on holiday – Craig & Mark invited fellow Mansfield Matters Blogger Kirsty Swann to join the show – filmed and recorded back where it all began… Titchfield Park.This week as well as a touching tribute to Russ, the team talk stikers, following the addition of Kane Hemmings, finance following the news that the club are so close to breaking even and if the club should be aiming for Checkatrade Trophy Glory as well as League succsess.
