Sea Stories: Survival, Tragedy, and Crashing Into a Cliff Over Lunch

from Ask Raven First Nations Paranormal and Supernatural Legends · host Jordan Fredrick Reid – Gwa Gwa Storyworks Inc.

A lifetime at sea never prepared me for this. In this episode, I share one of my most unforgettable sea stories—a tale of survival, tragedy, and humor. Imagine crashing full speed into a cliff, and when asked, "What the hell are you doing?" my father’s calm reply was, "I’m having lunch." But the story doesn’t end there. After this incident, my father ended up in prison and was later released, leading us to a court date in Powell River, BC. The humor? My father was convinced he was going back to jail, but he refused to tell me why. When he finally confessed, I couldn’t help but laugh hysterically in disbelief and relief. This episode dives into the unpredictability of life, the strength of family bonds, and the surprising humor that can arise even in the most challenging situations. What to Expect: A true story of survival, tragedy, and unexpected humor. The journey of a father and son navigating legal trouble. How family bonds and resilience turn chaos into life lessons. 📣 Be part of the crew!
