In the dead of night as people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three dark things take power, we like to call it the supernatural hour. Hey, welcome to the supernatural hour. This is your host, I'm Chad.
That's a Drake. I am Quiz. I'm Batman. Batman.
He's here with us today. How we all do? I'm ready for summer. I'm ready for summer.
I'm ready for a Drake. I'm ready for a Drake. Drake's birthday and it freaking snow. Hey, how's the worst part, April Fools?
Thank you. It's still snowing, Ryan. Oh no, that sucks. I got a little snow too.
Well, no, uh, yeah, we got a little skiff, but it's Marchal. Actually, it's April. It's April. It'll go away.
But it has snowed on Marchal, twice, so it can officially spring up. That's a criteria. Okay. Alright, so for those of you that listen regularly, which hopefully is all of you, but if you're able to come forward, I'm going to regularly.
We don't yet have our phone set up. We have a couple emails out. We do your back, but we will get that up and information out as soon as we can. Yep, but you can be checking the events, parallel.
dot paranormal dot com events page and it'll be out there if probably before our next podcast goes out. We just need people to answer their emails a timely manner. It says Raven, who doesn't answer her emails in every time I'm a man or something. Little hypocrisy.
We still plan on doing our video. So if you don't have that book yet, it's called Ghost in Springtime. And it looks like it'll be a pretty short read. We're going to do it in May.
It's called a Ghost Story Springtime by Michelle DeCrestor, which is cell DE. It says K-R-E-E-S-E-R. And I think it'll be fun. I'll have to read it until April.
So that will do it in May. We'll just kind of discuss the book. Anybody who has read the book will talk on this. Okay.
So you're going to have some time in May? Yes, I will. It's going to be May. Raven's graduating from college in May.
I wasn't going to be able to bring it up a lot, but thank you. Congratulations. One month from Turbine, but I'm not counting. Now how many more times do you have to go to class?
But I'm not counting. It's a lot of precise counting for someone who's not counting. Right. Actually, I guess I do have to go out for the final one.
There you go. So I'm just going to jump right into Artopo. But first... Oh, sorry.
But first, we've got to answer. What's that? Castle Photo Art. We're really excited about this.
Castle does a great job. In fact, Raven was just talking to me today about Castle. Castle, he is doing her graduation photos. So we're excited about that.
He does a great job. And we're going to be doing that in the evening up at the University of Utah, with her all in cap and gown and everything. But he does all sorts of photos. He does graduation.
He does family portraiture, nature stuff. He's got a whole suit of weddings. He does a really good job. He just was telling us he's getting a really cool new lens.
You know, when next time I investigate with him, I'm going to ask if we can have a ghost photo shoot. I'm like, just telling the pose. Like Raven's student pictures. Like wedding pictures.
Right. Maybe we'll get lucky. We can dress them up. And put some chairs out.
Yeah, and in May. We'll have a great. I'll come with Batman, of course. Good.
Good. When I have my brain back, we're going to set up some Wisps app, pictures, group pictures, and you can get some personal pictures and stuff. And there's going to be some new faces and those ones. Absolutely.
We have a couple of new team members that were just inducted. You want to talk about that a little bit, Raven? Well, we still have one that we need to officially induct. So I mean, yeah, it's fine.
I'll tell him tomorrow. All right. So he's right. So I didn't want to like.
Yes, we have two new. They've been with our team. Oh, maybe it doesn't have my vote. They've been on a strength for a while and is Aurora and Matt.
And we are excited to have them on our team officially. They've been on the team for a while, but to be official inducted members, which is fantastic. And we've got so much interest and so many people that are coming to our investigations that we could easily take on another two, three, four investigators. So if that's something, if you're local, you're interested in that, shoot us a resume and we'll take it from there.
Ask apps.wisps.contact.gmail.com. There's also some links out on our contact us on advancedpernormal.com on how to get a lip of some of that. And make sure to include in your resume what kind of things you would bring to a potluck and how good you are cooking them. That's very important for being on the team.
Thank you. Absolutely. If we can't gain weight from your food, then you cannot be on our team. Oh, man, I'm going to have to quit then.
I can be like the sorting hat if it triggers my ideas. You can't be on. Oh, Gryffindor. Okay.
Now can we go to the end copy? Sure. All right. I'm on it on your bio-tale.
Speaking of good food. Yes. Otheo's is terrific. It's like high-end Mexican food.
It is fantastic. And it's not a concha-tale like you're expecting. I'll just go try and tell them I sent you and we'll be taking care of. We're going to talk about the C4 to poltergeist.
And Chad, when he first looked at the itinerary, not to say the C4 to the food. That's what happens if you eat bad seafood. I also read that the first time. It's like, is this going to be some like crack shack?
You know, got a little something on there. I mean, the fish, you know, if they're fresh, they keep moving. They feel like it's almost like, how do we know how do we know that's a muscular response and not a poltergeist at our table? Flip in the fresh fish one.
Do you want to ask yourself that? My gout's inflamed is not paranormal. No, they might get inflamed because I've eaten stuff that I shall. Not to be eating.
I'm not saying that. All right. So basically the C4 poltergeist, you know, is then we talked about my idea of poltergeist, but we're just going to go with the standard noisy ghost that moves the frowns for right here. It was just some unexplained poltergeist disturbances reported by a family that lived in C4 in London, New York.
It was around 1958. And the things that happened were widely publicized. And you know, just typical things, bottles losing their tops, you know, spilling their content and household office and furniture, being able to lie. They had some parasitologists come in and there's a 12 year old boy that was kind of in the home and this is just going to be a fun story.
I think poltergeist stories are fun. The family consisted of the parents James and Lucille Herriman and they had children who was 13 and James who was 12. The first incident that occurred happened on February 3rd of 1958. What happened is James came home from school and he found a particular serenic doll in the house and a ship bottle, a broken on the dresser.
And the way it was described as if the doll had crashed into the ship. And then later Mrs. Herriman found a small holy bottle on her dresser. He was stood over on the side.
The car moved and the water is still all over the dresser. And during the next 45 minutes they heard noises like bottles opening, smelling in various rooms. There was a half gallon bottle of bleach that fell on a shelf in a cardboard box. The floor about six feet in front of where James and his mother were standing.
That would be a pain in the butt to clean up. Whatever it would be, that would make me annoyed. There were some other incidents that happened for about five weeks and so the family was getting very scared and confused. There was no idea what's going on.
Some of the escaping contents that they ran into were starch, evocations, wine, ammonia, shampoo, antacidicine, paint thinner, perfume, and paint. And everybody here has dealt with someone whether it's a child or yourself, an accident, kids do not participate because they think it's fun. But when you spill something that's just a pain, they're clean up and you don't look at the slits in the case of ammonia and paint thinner. That's just going to be stinky.
Then it happens if you get bleeped ammonia, it's only to get other insane anticondic boys in this gas. It's just, it's crazy. So this happened in C-Fort Long Island in New York, correct? Yes.
And it was in 1958? Correct. Yeah, another famous haunting on Long Island is the Amityville Horror. Mmm.
So that's kind of just an interesting, not that there's a correlation or a connection, but the same area as this was, I think, proceeding the actual Amityville issue or the thing that they had, but it's kind of interesting. It's back in that area, Long Island seems to be a pretty big hot bit. Also in Long Island, Theresa Caputo, the Long Island Medium, I'm just saying, there you go. Maybe there's something to it.
Lots of strange coolers on Long Island. Right? The practical jokers there too. You know what I mean?
Wow, that's just a hot net of stuff. So later, about February 13th of that same year, that the circumstances that were happening in the house changed from things to dipping over to other figures such as porcelentastic figurines. They would move, they would collide, kind of like the doll in the ship, and they said that the way they moved is though that they were flung with a fourth. They were thrown, they weren't just tipping over.
Sometimes they were spat at pieces, and some of these objects were larger, including lamps, a night table, a phonograph machine, a dresser, a coffee table, a case that turned upside down. They're getting bigger and bigger. And some of the accounts said that these objects were repeatedly, at a certain one. So there was a glass centerpiece that was moved several times, and there was a desk that was damaged repeatedly by figurines being thrown at it.
They noticed noises, they'd hear rumbles through the house that sounded like a wall's recaving in, as a quote, that's what the mother thought it sounded like. And the last recorded incident happened on the 10th of March, so this went over a fairly short time period, but again, it was a bleach bottle that was decapped and moved with a lamp lump. And they said that the disturbances were so violent and just loud and serious that on forotations, the family actually went out of their house, staying with friends and relatives were told of six nights over the course of this period. And they said that 67 separate anomalous incidents were recorded by investigators.
And Jake, I know that you were looking at some of the witness accounts, what did you hear about some of those witness accounts? I actually have a direct quote from a police statement from Mr. Herman. This is where he's word for word at about 10.30 am, standing in the doorway of the bathroom, all of a sudden two bottles have been placed on top of the vanity table, we're seeing a move, one move straight ahead, slowly, while the second spun to the right for a 45 degree angle, the first one fell into the sink, the second one crashed into the floor, and both bottles had been at the same time.
Both bottles had become unscrewed while they were in the cabin under the sink. They had been placed in the vanity top of the cabinet was being cleaned. And then it response to further incidents, Mrs. Herman called the police on February 9th.
And then with the patrolman who responded to the call, he wasn't living room with the entire family when noises were heard coming from the bathroom. A patrolman went to investigate with family members and found a bottle on its side. A patrolman later stated to the investigators he inspected the bathroom prior to this occurrence, and no one was in there. You know what I really need?
I need cleaning supplies to just open in my bathroom, in my kitchen, and just kind of slouch around and then have an invisible rag come and wipe it up. Same your lunchtime. You would. I feel like the invisible rag would freak me out more than the cleaning supplies moving.
But just use a real rag and move around that point. Dude, any noises going on in my bathroom? I'm just not even investigating, if you know what I mean? They learned their lesson from the road trip with me.
Oh yeah, very much so. Yeah, there's actually quite a few witnesses if I remember the story, currently. There's a lot I've got three pages worth of witness statements. Oh, wow.
Oh, jeez. All these cases well witnessed. Jada, I interrupted you. No, I was just going to say the same thing.
It's one of the better documented paranormal cases where you have these statements and witness statements. It's well documented. You see dates and times and yeah, in fact, as I'm written here, one of the article says that this was one of the inspirations for the movie Poltergeist. Not that it was that involved, but it was the things happening and things moving and all that kind of stuff.
So there's a time. Yeah, I get it. Yeah, my favorite, what is statement or one of them I guess, but one that stood out to me was the cousin, either Mary or Marie. They saw a figurine wiggle and quotes and then fly to free to cross the room.
And I just like, what do you see a ghost that stand? And then they're like, why? I crossed the room. What is that?
It kind of reminds me of that group. We kind of just correct. Oh, and we'll share any memes or videos. And there was a video that someone shared, maybe it was me that talked about how ghosts might not be a scary.
We could see them, you know, as they're just kind of crouched down, opening the door and wiggling. wiggling. As an Asian, the Asian ghost one is the funniest one where it's like the Asian dad has a haunting but he makes him do work to stay in the house and haunt it. That one is hilarious.
But there's this ghost and he throws a shoe at the dad and he picks it up and starts chasing the ghost around with it off to find it and send it in the group. Oh, do you? Drag, did you want to share any more? What was the count?
The next one I had was the one that whiskey had mentioned at the cousin. Advanced wiggles. No, that's mainly the rest of them just tie into the family just being freaked out and calling the police for little tiny things moving or hitting the floor. I would love in like this day and age to hear.
I know it's obviously not too far moved from today but just with all of the things going on, I would love to hear the 911 call for this in modern days. Like, hey, stuff is getting thrown in my house. Like a 911 operator to be like, and? Right.
So I just pick it up. I used to work as a 911 operator and that's what I would be thinking would be okay. You want an ambulance? I'm not quite sure what today I would be thinking about.
You need an ambulance. Like, what did you smoke before you called us? I can't tell you the weird phone call. My hands are wiggling.
That's a 911 operator. Sorry, go through something. Wait, what? Is a 911 operator.
No, well, I'm sorry then. No, no, no. Officer, your house. The wiggles are all back.
That's not normal. So, right. Wiggling. So the family's freaked out.
We talked about earlier that at one point they just flat out. Didn't even stay in the house for a total of six days. But as things happen, newspapers report at the incident and came to the attention of a Paris Ecology Laboratory at a university called Ryan Research Center. They assigned it to people by the name of Jay, Gay Thir Pratt and William G.
Roll to investigate. And so Pratt visited on February 5th and he was hoping that something would happen when he was there and as I would have it, two things occurred in his first half hour. They were the lamp and a plate of bread that fell on the table to the floor. I mean, nothing happened for quite some time.
And Pratt left on the 1st of March. And the disturbances resumed the following day. And so Pratt and Roll made a second long visit starting the 7th of March and they both saw and heard a few incidents. They heard two loud thumps come from James' room on the 9th of March.
And then they were actually witness the final disturbance with that bleach bottle on March 10th. Yeah, and they did a lot of... What's interesting is when you talk about a lot of stuff moving, my first thought isn't getting my K2 and my EMF meters because I'm like, well, there's probably something on level, right? Level out something to check if there's any seismic activity going on, you know, looking to kind of just what's going on with the ground underneath the house, around the area.
Is there potential sinkholes happening? Who knows? And they used all of that stuff. They used high frequency radio waves.
So they were checking for it. They checked for... They went on a silver graph for unusual ground movements. They looked for like foreign matter inside the bottles that might cause them to be rigged to pop off of the shelves, circulation.
Like they checked everything. They didn't just sit around and listen for things and say, well, don't know why that happened they tried to figure it out. They did a true investigation, not a ghost hunt and actual investigation. Yeah, and with all these things that was key, me and my friend, they couldn't find any unusual radio waves if the house was stretched out, but like they checked a ton of stuff.
So Pratt and Roll conceded that many of the locked incidences could a theory have been faked by the family when they were owned in the house, when James was alone in the room. Because there's a few times that you're aware about, it can't be confirmed because my daughter didn't have school today. I can't tell you where she was in the house today. And they thought that maybe this is something that could have been observed by their person when no one was in contact with the object.
And they said it could have been carried out by an unlike there were an audacious trickster. It wasn't that the third person had been distracted by magicians. They're not actually having magic. It's a whole sleight of hand in distraction and stuff.
However, they argue that none of the objections apply to 17 of the incidences in which the position of children was known to some other person. And I'll just to quote, it says, was known to some other person to be such that they definitely could not have thrown but or similarly upset the object in question. That's a state that James, the son was harshly real by both his father and Tazi, which I leave as one of the police officers, but he stood firm in the nine throughout the entire processes, even when he was distracted by the tears of questioning him and questioning him. And you think about it as a 12 year old, just going to get so frustrated and say, okay, did it, but he just held firm that no one didn't do it.
So along that lines, the investigators, they favored the idea of psychokinesis with one of the children with James that that could have been that wasn't conclusive on theirs. But it was the explanation with the term that they used was a reoccurrence spontaneous psychokinesis or RSPK on the part of the boy, a hypnotized, repressed psychological force that expresses itself in the unconscious performance of violent physical acts. They argue that this is supported by incidents of focusing mainly on the 12 year old James and a pattern of incidents suggesting motivation on his part, but difficult to interpret in terms of trickery. So they're not saying it's necessarily trickery, but this gets back to what your take is on what a poltergeist is, where you want to talk about that a little bit.
We sometimes just use the term poltergeist as a noisy ghost and a lot of people do that, but you've got to take on poltergeist also. I took a class by Bishop Long and in his study, he talks about poltergeist because he thinks about any ghost we run into is noisy in some way or another. Some are quiet and they hide in the closet, some like to make their presence known. And Bishop Long said what they're very of, what we would technically call a poltergeist could be something from an adolescent, usually a girl because they're a little bit more emotional.
But it's that they're under some duress, maybe they've been abused or just going through something so emotionally stressing and taxing on them that they don't know how to deal with it and it comes out through some of this co-kinetic, it kind of deal. So that's one of the things that they kind of think, what that means said, it didn't really, it didn't really, it didn't really, it's not at all. But I guess it's anything that said that the boy had been accused towards the lines of issues. No, in the article that I read, it said that James had some deep anger issues towards his father.
Okay, me. There have been some things there. It says role observed that most of the disturbed objects belong to the parents who are happening in their spaces and that the psychological studies build that James had strong feelings of anger towards his father. The fact that the bottles were mostly products used by Mrs.
Herriman further indicates that the boy had umat, I think it's an unmet dependency needs. Role suggests, role also notes that the measurements go a decline in the number of movements correlating with the disturbance from James in an effort that he found in other similar cases. So there was some emotional distress with the 12 year old boy. That makes sense.
And you should say in the long explanation that he said that when these adolescents when the psychokinesis power from the kind of better word ability comes out, it's usually targeted. If it's a girl, she's going to be used by her stepfather for example. It's going to be targeted at pictures of the step other things that belong to the step other because that is where her angst and anger and uncontrolled motions are targeted towards so that can make a lot of sense. There's an interesting story I have that kind of fits this in it literally happened last night.
Oh, so I'm sorry if I throw you guys off track with this, but so you guys know how Bree likes to paint and everything, but she likes to paint and she put these two paintings up above our TV and they've been up for about three or four weeks now. And last night we're watching TV and this is after we had a high stress day together, like high stress and had a couple arguments and everything but everything was good when we went to bed. But that night I was watching TV, she was dead asleep and I just hear like a peeling sound and I'm like, okay, what's going on? And then both the both paintings that she hung up fell down at the same time and unplugged my TV and they both fell.
And so I'm like, okay, the command strips probably just failed and I'm going over there and I'm looking at it. One of the canvases was way over by my bed about five feet away from where it fell and then the other one was behind the TV where it would have been if it fell normal. And so that kind of freaked me out last night and like I couldn't explain it, but I also can't say it wasn't just the command strips failing, but it was on a high stress day where we had like an argument. And so I don't know if that has anything to do with maybe the things that follow us, but it was a poltergeist type situation if that's what it ends up being.
But like I said, it was five feet away from my bed and then I can't figure out for the life of me how I did that. And both of them fall at the same time. Yeah, that too. That was usual.
I do think it's interesting. And one of the theories that they proposed was that the magnetic energy fluctuations of random electromagnetism and things like that can somehow transform its energy potential, like how light turns into heat they gave a reference like that. And so they're saying that like this sigh wave or electromagnetic energy that might have been put off, converted somehow into kinetic energy, causing them to gain the object to gain inertia and free itself from just a generalized gravity that we feel. And so it makes you wonder when we have an argument or a high stress ordeal in a lot of places we investigate have pretty strong emotional things that happen.
Is that psychological energy? I mean, the physical energy we're burning calories. We're emitting more heat and everything else in the room. Is that somehow being converted into something else that just takes time?
I don't know. There's no science. It's more on like the quantum scale of potentials. That would make sense of like high energy high stress.
Like all of those things are kind of like, reaction all type feelings. And so I don't see why they couldn't transfer over to the other side. Yeah, it'll be. I think once we get to that point, we're going to start seeing like the Jedi controlled mine cars.
But we can convert our brain power. It'll be fun until like big electricity is like when they sleep, we can just harness their brains for electricity and then we're like right in your episode. And never get up to start a monster. Exactly.
Exactly. Yeah. Halloween, you got to scare kids on your porch to be able to keep your house for the winter to light the pumpkins. And you know what?
I could probably program some screen screen like controlled pumpkins. It's not a bad idea. I might have for that idea. OK, so let's go to some facts that's going on here.
So there's a man named Millborn Christopher. And this is four cases one that kind of caught his attention and Millborn Christopher know who he is. He was an American state magician and he had a book that came out in a museum called Sears, Psycheeks, but yes, he and he wrote that he offered help and he offered help and he gave it to the bottom of these services that he was turned down by Mr. Herman who said no one's and this is a quote.
No one's certain terms he did not want to mention in the house. I guess that was a quote by a good, not Herman. And he also noted that the family refused to sit down for light interest. So if you're not doing anything wrong, I do not like a light, it just better chances my opinion.
I have a different opinion there because it's like, right, innocent, to prove guilty here in the United States. And it's one of those things where it's almost insulting in a way. And at the end of the day, what benefit do they have of doing the light detector test, right? Like if you really break it down and you think about it, they know what happened.
There are other people that have shown up and quantified what happened. And are they asking for help? Did they? Are they benefiting in any way at this point from just saying that all happened?
And it's kind of settled down since. I know, obviously, like, maybe it's happened later. But to me, I think it'd be almost insulting. Like if I was investigating your house and you want to be do a light detector test to prove whatever true, like, I would do it just because you don't know me, you don't know my integrity.
But like on the larger scale, like, eh, it's as it's as exact science as paranormal investigation, I would say, at a lot of courts, light detector tests are inadmissible. So throw it out there. And the Christopher went forward to show for some part of his and news journal lessons stuff demonstrated how these events might be faked. But I think just because they almost anything, he didn't prove that it could be faked.
You just showed how it could be done. Yeah, he didn't prove that it didn't happen or it did happen. He just showed away that those kinds of things could be done through magician tricks. Exactly.
He improved that they were tricks that you showed that they could. We're not saying that this is safe. We're just saying this is what some of the skeptics that threw the things into the ring. But I was in Vegas just not three weeks ago.
And I was not in color. And they did their one of their favorite tricks that I've seen is when teller makes like 50 goldfish appear everywhere. You know, fishing. And I know it's true.
They can ride out and say we're not magicians. These are tricks we use live hand use. Use they don't pretend and it's just kind of fun. The magic.
They don't pretend it's magic, but they don't let you know how they do it either. Would it have been sacrilegious if they also made a bunch of bread at the same time? I think it's like most paranormal investigation equipment to a certain point. It can all be debunked even to the maximum limit of I've had an hour of intelligent response.
Like it could just be coincidental to the environment. Like the further you go, the less likely it is to be coincidence. But you can never until we can reach over and bring the paranormal world to our side, we can never quantify it beyond that. And I can very easily go and fake.
Most of the one thing I can't fake is like the little lights we have. Like I can't make those go on and off, but like I can hide a wireless mouse in my pocket and click it and make it to me to go off if I want. There's a lot of ways to fake it and to replicate something that's already happened. But I don't know.
Yeah, in our case, we do this because we want to prove it. We want to get evidence and think it doesn't. Maybe if we get out of it, it wouldn't help us in any way. Exactly.
But that's what I mean, like them as in they like considered a magic trick and they're trying to debunk it in any way. It'd be cool to see what way they come up with, but also it'd be another way for us to be like, well, here's why this doesn't work what you did. And so it could be a two way street too. Yeah.
Exactly. And going back to what Whiskey said about being a one of the things we watch our detox and our presentations as we say one of the forms of evidence is personal experience. But that's only it is, you know, how believable or how much faith you have in person that's sharing that with you. It's really only true with yourself.
And I had some things happen to me and if people say, hey, I believe you don't want you to take a life detector test, I would do it just because the thing depends on the person. So I really don't care what you think. Right. If the police had to, for some reason, maybe have a life detector test.
I would just point out that life detector, but I do agree with you. I saw when I saw and I tried everything I could think of. I didn't book it and no. Yeah.
Just like what I was thinking about the other like last night where that picture fell five feet away. I can't explain that in any way. But if I tell somebody there's going to be like, the command strips probably fail. And it's one of those things that is my credibility high enough with people to believe when I'm telling them or is it all just going to be he said she said yes, it is because you're Batman.
That's right. Exactly. Well, that's detective. From our perspective, I just want to say like we we give people in their shoes the benefit of the doubt.
What come to our investigation will get everything but if you call us and tell us that stuff's being thrown around your house and tell us that your paintings are being knocked down after arguments and things like that. We're not going to ask you for a lie detector test before we come to your house. We come at you with a level of trust because you're trusting us with your issue and we tell you whatever we find if you want to accept it cool. If you don't cool.
What I would say is if you get to the point where you feel like this and then Google goes to the spusters because you can't think that's going on in your house. There's probably something going on in your house. And whether it's your spusters, they definitely right. And there's actual paranormal stuff, whether it's just high EMF in your closet from the apartment.
If I regard this, what it is, you feel like something's happening and we'll come think about what it is. Like magnetic changes and things and people's environments will definitely make people feel uneasy. So yeah. Yeah.
So one last thing on just the skeptics, there's a sketchy go center by the new of Jennifer and he got the trick. Greetheem in his to call the science of ghosts. And he actually went through the 60 page police file and this is why he noted that the events mostly happened when James was nearby, not when he was away, even house or just another location, which to me does not debug back to the could be my definition of the poltergeist, which is an address and with psycho kinesis or telekinesis or just that pentopaner. That comes out another way in what we would call psycho kinesis or telekinesis.
So I mean, his genicals definition of why it's a I think well, it just lends a little credence to the one I would call it a polter. A poltergeist. So what is the legacy of this deferred poltergeist? It was the most discussed poltergeist case of the 20th century.
It was publicized in countless newspaper stories, radio, television broadcasts, a ton of newspaper articles in a lot of languages. And it really led to a renewed interest in cases among parapsychologists. Pratt and Roll, the investigators that went, investigated a similar reported phenomenon in 1971, where souvenir objects seem to just fly off the shelf in a Miami warehouse. And Roll was also present in a widely publicized case in Columbus, Ohio later in 1984.
So there's probably just it was a rouse by the media coverage on this. Unlike Chad said earlier, that renewed interest was possibly a factor in the 19-2 movie poltergeist because this all would have happened about the same time. See for poltergeist was in 1958, but to me, you know this. I think like the legacy for me, it shows exactly what we have in the paranormal world, right?
Like the explanation is always open to interpretation. We can stop it saying like, yeah, it could have been psychokinesis. There's no scientific evidence to support how it actually happens. But if the people surrounding the issue at the time of it happening did not see this child doing things and they couldn't explain it.
If you interpret them to be honest and trustworthy, it stops there. If you go beyond that and you're like, well, somebody's faking something. The mystery remains unsolved. And for me, the whole idea of ghost hunting is too many people have felt things, heard things, seen things.
I have felt things are getting seen things. My personal just doctrine says that they're spirits and I like to try to find proof. I like to try to find evidence. I like to help people who are scared of stuff going on in their house.
Whether it's paranormal or not, I'll figure out what the cause is and give you some relief. So the answer is not always it's a ghost. Absolutely. Sometimes it's other things.
Sometimes it's environmental. Sometimes it's magnetic EMF. Lots of different things can be there. Sometimes we try to get all of those normal explanations, explain them way and then at that point it's paranormal.
It's beyond normal. Yep. Speaking of a beyond normal, there are. OK, I'm sorry.
Yeah, which one of us are talking about? Because I feel like. Yeah, well, I wasn't going to say anything, but come on, Chad. No.
If you want to delve a little bit into anything paranormal, I would go check out the secret. We've got some fantastic stuff. Was he and was he going to come and put some stuff there? We do.
Yeah, it'll be spending soon. The Mystic Frog has actually currently undergoing some changes. They have some plan changes to their store. They're trying to clear out a bunch of inventory.
So check out their sales, but they want to turn it into more of a community shop because there's a lot of people I'm going to say were the reason why they decided to make the decision. But there's a lot of people like us who have a pretty cool product, but we don't have a place to sell it. Exactly. And so they were nice to us.
I don't know exactly what the deal is yet there with additional people coming up. It's going to be consignment. It's going to be like a co-op where you work, but that is the direction they're going. So I'm really excited to see just the amount of new product that will come in there from people around our community.
And I think it'll open us up to some really cool connections with other people too. So very excited to see the Mystic Frog family grow. Last summer in fall, they had some pretty cool evening events where they had other people come in and set up tents and do a little fair sales fair. That was neat.
I could see a number of those kinds of things being done by consignment in their store. They really had some interesting consignment or some things that other people were selling there. And now where are they located? They are off of Geneva Road in Orem or Vineyard, Utah.
It's hard to say right when it's on. It's right on the line. Just south of 800 North in Orem, I believe. Yep.
On to his. It is correct. Yeah, check it out. Just being a whiskey moon equipment.
We have been expanding. I have actually a bunch of samples of equipment to see if we want to get it. I got a crazy bright red flashlight. I'll show you guys after this sitting on my desk kind of wild or small it is.
But we had put a couple of things out at an event just to see that was versus the clubhouse. And then this time we brought our full current kit of items at the Jewish. And we sold a bunch of stuff. It was actually really awesome.
A bunch of people came up asked questions. It was really great. We also took our first order of repairing a piece of equipment that another manufacturer made, which broke at the clubhouse. I fix it in seven minutes.
So I'm trying to shout out whiskey moon for fixing other people's problems that they've made when they no fix it. And I also fix it without using any shop supplies. So free of charge for our first request. But it's been a lot of fun testing things.
We're looking forward to potentially helping advance, prenormal rent out equipment so that any of you guys that come to events that just want to have a little something in your hand while you walk around, you totally good. So we're coming up. Yeah, I'm on a fun. Appreciate everybody's support.
Sorry if you got a sticker for us recently. It has a spelling error on it. The approved version of the logo did not have that typo. And yeah, but if you like Parmesan, you'll love a scheme in Parmenormal stickers.
So just airing that out there. Sorry. Sorry. Not.
Sorry. I think it's funny. But yeah, if you we have our spirit communication lights and our glow in the dark stands for them available at the Mystic Rock and you can also check us out at whiskeymoonpairnormal.com. You can send some message if you want.
Sweet. Yeah. Speaking of things and stuff, you know what? I like to keep saying some stuff.
Where? I mentioned drawer. I know. I'm a little bill.
In the back. Drake, Drake, where you keep your stuff? I jumped all that. OK.
So I jumped over here. I think it's cool, actually. This is one that goes through Facebook. Let's go to Facebook when I'm going to now see everybody's up to one.
This is when it's popped up several times and fine. It's like, OK, fine, fine. I'll do this. Don't worry.
Have you guys seen the thing pop up called scare mail? Scare mail. Scare mail. Nope.
So the idea of scare mail is it's called your long horror experience unavailable anywhere else. Basically, if I were just to explain it very briefly, it's kind of like a scary. Like a scary. So you can give to someone to get to survive yourself.
You get 24 letters a year, which are the twice month, but they're just not letters. They include airy story artifacts hidden or more. Let me see. There was a.
So I'm just going to read you from their webpage. It says get ready to embark on an unforgettable journey of horror with scare mail. This can be concept of shame terrifying to most of personal correspondence between characters offers a new way to experience the thrill of horror fiction. It's good.
Well, more safe and fun. So there's a gentleman who started it. He was kind of curious, isolated, and he's almost across a website. It was like an old forum, paranormal forum kind of thing.
And it just sparked this interest. And so he was compelled to share some experiences that he had because of the world. And so it just looks really fun. So if you want to check it out, their website is scaremail.com.
Just one word scare mail. I love it. Because it's just a pen pal with somebody who's going to tell you scary stories. My kid will be all over that.
Yep. Yep. If you go, they've got books, they've got books, they've got paper bags, ebooks. There's two different scare mail.
There's scare mail. One scare mail to you. And when you sign up for this, it's for a year. And so if you want to be in, you have to sign up for a year.
Anyway, it's just literally fun. So it says 24 or 12 months, one terrifying experience. And right now they have 25% off. So it looks like a lot of them.
So if you want to get some pal letters in the mail, the bills or jumped mail. Yeah, go give it a look at what's going on. You know what? I've been getting the mail every month.
Pieces to assemble a R2D to a fully operational app control R2D to. OK, when you get this done, I want you to make an investigation. Oh, if you think that it's not going to have lights that actually work as a K2 meter, what do you think I am? Oh, I thought you were going to say that I sent you those car extended warranties.
I've been talking to you about. I'm trying to get up for a while now. That's actually why Batman joined today. Still I'm still thinking about it.
I've decided yet. OK, the chatter is brought to you by Huish, performing arts and cultural events under pace, and we just had an investigation there. So we need to talk about the investigation. But whiskey, what you say?
So it was an investigation. It was a talking investigation. So it was a little shorter than a full fledged investigation, but it was still fun. I got to use my new little red lights to make the staircase look very ominous.
So if you were there, you'll know I'm talking about it. Looked, I was scared. I'm like, I don't want to go back up the stairs and I put the light there. But it was good.
It was light, light, hard at this time. We got a lot of really good evidence. We got probably one of the coolest pieces of evidence from our spirit communication lights that we've ever got. We shared it on the whiskey and paranormal Instagram.
But one of the lights in the stand went red and immediately an ITC device said, no, at the same time asking if they were from the thing we'd asked if they're from 17 or the 1900s, but to see a completely separate device that's loosely based off of environmental readings and some random generation and a dumb LED light with batteries, you have the same answer at the same time was really cool because the odds of the happening are incredibly low. We don't get yes and no answers from those particular ITC devices very often. So it was it was interesting. There was one point where I talked about like, yeah, it's sometimes goes just want to talk to women and that's fine.
And so I took some I group and walked away and immediately after when it was just girls in one of the rooms, this ghost in the very back, the furthest room, whatever we want to call that in the basement was just chatting it up. So I thought it was really cool for people to see like sometimes there's more to it. One of the craziest things that happened and this is just a friendly reminder to be respectful to the other side is we decided to do the Estes method. So a bunch of people in my group got some random souvenir really crappy I'm asked but they see stoked about them because I didn't want to get pink eye sharing my I'm asking them, sorry, sorry people.
But we there was a younger kid. I think he was 16 that was with an adult there and we decided to let him do the Estes method is parents is okay. Are the guardian and when he was doing it, he didn't say that he heard anything. And when he took the headphones off, he said some explicatives directed to a ghost, basically calling it out for not saying anything in a very rude and inappropriate way.
We talk about like, we'll roast them and things like that and whatever, but this was like a direct insult to the ghost within 10 seconds. His name appeared for the very first time in the entire investigation on an ITC device. And then within another 15 seconds of that, we got two more responses rapidly. Once had blood and once it acts, all will say said, you need to apologize.
So he went from being pretty tough to looking very scared. And that's just a friendly reminder that if you're coming on an investigation with us, be respectful of the ghosts. If you want to learn how to roast them, maybe ask us, but we don't we don't insult them directly for not doing anything because that's a great way to cause trouble with things that you can't see. So I was not surprised when they showed up after the hunt and asked for some help cleansing really quick before they hit the road.
Yeah, it was really a good time. I had fun there. A lot of good questions. I think in the dead talk and that's what happened in Moon and Ice Group.
What happened in your group, Raven? So my group was actually pretty quiet. The huge I have seen in full body operations. I have heard what sounds like a metal chair being broke across the room and there's nobody anywhere close to where it's at.
We got a few responses through our bullet bullet lights. We got the two meters turned on a few times. Oh, we got some farting sounds through the ITS. I don't know about that.
He said it when I was coming down the stairs. Or you come upstairs and I was walking up and I'm just saying, listen, Raven did say that we trust each other, but I I really fully expected to walk in there and just smell farts. So it was farting and there's like a really young kid that was like, we hurt fart, Swiss game. I'm like, OK, and then Raven comes down and is like, oh, so weird.
We heard farting sounds. I'm like, guys, it's OK, if you fart. You know, these were not your parts. These these these were the actually came through the box.
This part sounds so and it probably did it three or four times. So I'm dead once. Right. No, I'm not the dead ones yet.
And the loud, please. So for me, one of the most active rooms in the way she is in the very back of the base, but I call it the plumbing room because there's a little plumbing there. And we were down there and there's a fart sound, but one of the girls destroyed a lot of she's like, sorry, that wasn't after a lot of me. But for my group, it actually was a little bit quiet.
We really didn't have a whole lot going on other than a couple of lights here and there. I did love the other ones and there was a boy with a sismum. I think he was probably 14. And because when I very first I pulled him out just because they're kind of fun to watch.
And the kid would be like, I think you're both of those. I'm not. And so I put him in his hand and he was just in for all of them and he'd move and I'm like, you're not moving. He's like, oh, I'm not.
And so he just asked questions. And for me, Dowsing Rods, I don't like to jump to those as a go to, but you know, I've got a group that's kind of quiet. It's like I don't want people to fly the voice and they're like, so let's pull it out here and there and show them how it works and talk to them about. But this boy kept them the whole time, which they meant and I let him.
But it was interesting and not so much the Dowsing Rods because we had laser grid up. We had all the equipment out. They can get goofy, but he took it very seriously. He took it very intelligent questions.
That was interesting. And that'd be the opposite for me. I'd hear the farting noises and be like, is that a win to go? I'd be like, hold on.
The pamphlet I got when I joined this team does not cover ghost farts. I have a personal note that says never trust a fart. So it might be a type three. I don't know.
It relates. So just to kind of let everybody know, we have two different basic types of investigations. One is the dead talk that we do. And we have about anywhere from a 45 minute to 90 minute presentation, depending on questions and answers that we do and go through quite an extensive presentation with evidence we share evidence that we've collected and do EVPs and do all those kinds of things.
And then we follow it up with the remainder of the time we go out and do the actual investigation in the area. And that's where whiskey was saying that we didn't have as long of an investigation. The other one we do is we have a very short presentation when we just have our normal events, paranormal investigation. We have a shorter 25 to 30 minute presentation.
We talk a little bit about the venue itself and we talk about some safety procedures and some of those kinds of things. And then we do about three hours of investigating and rotate to the different areas in the venue. This investigation, we have an awful lot of new people that hadn't been with us before, which I was really excited about. So if any of you were at the investigation and are now listening to this podcast, because we told you about it, welcome.
We hope you enjoyed both the investigation, the dead talk and hopefully there's some new people to our podcast. And one of the things I noticed, one of the questions we'll ask when we start is how many people have never missed the game before. It seems like there was a really high percentage of people. That investigation didn't never investigate it before.
I'm going to say maybe half. Yeah, there's a lot. A lot of people that we hadn't had before, we get several that come back to different investigations at different venues. We have some regulars and we really, really appreciate them and their support.
But we're also very, very thankful when new people find us and we enjoy that paranormal education and entertainment part that we provide to them to help them learn how to investigate safely. All right, next up, we'll have a couple of essentials to talk about. So we'll look over to them. And before we sign off, Batman, other than pictures falling off your wall, anything you want to toss in about to the bat cave or bat life.
Well, yeah, I appreciate you guys having me on again. Always a pleasure if you guys like urban legend kind of things around Utah. If you go to Copperton Park off of Old Bingham Highway, there's this area right under the bridge where you could put your car in neutral and it'll roll up hill. So I was doing that on Saturday with some friends.
That was pretty cool. And so I definitely recommend trying that if you're in the paranormal kind of like areas that aren't necessarily haunted, but have cool, like, magnetic field about them, that's one of them I'd go to. Right. How about you in the living in the world of skinwalker ramp?
Anything interesting going on out there? Not recently. I said, either of it or I guess it becomes under the cat. It was a paranormal investigator's act.
So I don't hear that I'm so school on, but. And I can tell you about something that came across the whiskey desk. As some of you may know, I have eyes nears everywhere and some people tell me about their crazy paranormal experiences, one of which comes from Northern Salt Lake area and it was a UFO encounter. So not asking Walker Ranch, but not far from it, depending on your definition of far.
They saw an object in the sky. They actually called a friend and the friend was also stopped walking their dog looking at this object in the sky that did not move. The person that reported to me is a former Air Force officer. So they do know their stuff about aircraft and they said that they obviously don't know these days if it's something that we're testing or not.
There happened to be an increase in military activity the following day across the skies of Utah, which was also interesting, including like three transport shoppers randomly going down the highway, attack helicopters, flying the mountain right routes when usually they're like Black Hawk helicopters. So a lot of strange things happen the following day. So I'm going to say is you're going to keep your eye on the sky coming up because this was just last week. All right.
Next next next. Hopefully something's happening out there. I also want to give a shout out to new gun therapy. She is amazing.
