Seahawks Practice Squad & Smith-Njigba Rise | Spokane News

Seahawks bolster their practice squad with a surprise return of All-Pro cornerback Trevon Diggs, plus Velus Jones Jr. and safeties A.J. Finley and Rodney Thomas II — giving Diggs a chance to ramp up after a January exit. Meanwhile, star WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba soars to No. 5 on the NFL’s Top 100 list, praised by peers as a league-beating threat after leading in receiving yards and winning Offensive Player of the Year. He joins Ernest Jones IV and Sam Darnold as Seahawks from the Super Bowl team on the list — though Leonard Williams and Devon Witherspoon were notably snubbed. The team also signed 13 young players, including 2025-26 draft picks, all preseason participants committed to building future talent.
