Seahawks Soar, Penn State Fires Franklin, & More NFL Week 6 & CFB Week 7 Recap & Reactions

from Sources from the Sofa Podcast · host Mosaic Black Media

The guys recap Week 6 in the NFL which started off with a doozy in Broncos escaping Alcatraz aka London with a narrow dub over the offense-deficient Jets. They then review the rest of Sunday's games by nominating who had the "Biggest Win of the Week" (05:41), "Biggest Loss of the Week" (15:04), and Rome glazing over his Steelers (28:29). And in keeping with tradition that started last year, they nominate which teams' seasons are already over (33:02) and which are on life-support; which if we are counting altogether, a third of the NFL is already out of the picture after Week 6. Yikes! Then its onto a recap of Week 7 in College Football, with Jaeson stopping Rome within minutes to talk about the biggest story in college sports: the firing of Penn States' now former HC James Franklin (38:58). They discuss some of the motivations for it, possible candidates, and other coaches that could be on the hot seat (43:50). They then talk biggest wins (52:24), review some surprising updates to the AP Top 25 (01:10:50), and finally end with a little sneak peak into the early spreads for Week 8.  Be sure to catch both segments in video on Youtube! Host: Rome Valdez Co-Hosts: Aaron Toller, Jaeson Zinke
