I just believed in my mantra of “I can, I shall, I will.’”“I fought for my daughters. I really, really did. I fight for them everyday. Because I still have effects of the stroke, of course, but every time I got to pull through because I have these two little girls who are counting on me.” “Don’t believe in the impossible. Believe: I am possible.” Sean’s advice for any caregiver of a stroke or brain trauma survivor: “Imagine you’re a rock and a wave’s coming to hit you. Be that rock for the wave to hit you. Don’t move with that wave. Stay stationary on that sand and on that beach. Be the biggest rock that you can and create the space for your loved one to come at you.” Listen to the full SuperAge episode wherever you stream your podcasts.
