In this episode, we catch up with jazz trombonist, composer, arranger, and bandleader Sean Nelson to discuss his highly anticipated 2025 album, Don't Stop Now, with The New London Big Band.This new release features eight previously unrecorded charts from the legendary Thad Jones, bringing his compositions to life with an all-star lineup, including trumpeter Wayne Bergeron in the role of Harry James and John Riley, longtime drummer with the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, Thad Jones's legacy ensemble.A Dallas native, Sean is an active musician serving in the U.S. Coast Guard Band, where he plays trombone, arranges, and performs in jazz ensembles.
